Sunday was a beautiful day for a drive to Savannah, MO.
Bob, Barb, and Ruth Wilhelm went there to celebrate the 80th
birthday party for Carol Wilhelm, widow of Wilson. Cousins
Heather Nasi, New Mexico, and Barbara Wilhelm, Pennsylvania,
surprised Carol by attending. Everyone had a nice visit and
the food was incredible.
Continued get well wishes to Curt Kimbell, May Lamb,
and Dan Crownover.
From librarian Peggy Leefers: We have added several really
good books in the past couple of weeks. A new author,
Sarah Jio's "Last Camelia", along with books of hers already
on the shelves are a big hit. "Thunder and Rain" and
"The Mountain between us" are two really good books by
Charles Martin, who was also highly recommended. We will
be adding more of his work as they are such good reading.
These all are "can't put them down" books. A must read
is "Full Body Burden", a true story of growing up in Colorado
near Rocky Flats, a secret nuclear weapons plant, and the
very disturbing realities coming out of that. Remember, the
library can be opened any weekday morning by the
Village Clerk. Come in and look around!
Don't forget Viola Wachter's moving sale this coming weekend.
Vi has now moved to Linden View Assisted Living.
