Curt Kimbell passed away Monday morning, October 28.

One of the truly good guys, he will be missed by all.

Condolences to his many friends and family.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 1, 10:30 am

at the Communtiy Center Gym. Lunch will follow at the

Duncan Building.

 

 

 

The Unadilla Fire Department would like to thank the

200+ people who came to the Pancake Feed this past

Sunday. Your continued support is most appreciated.

On Sunday, November 10, at 2:30 PM, Greenblatt & Seay invite you to "Meet the Instruments", in the Old Avoca, Nebraska Schoolhouse.  This dynamic married couple will sing and play at least 20 different musical instruments, including hammered dulcimer, fiddle, nyckelharpa, harmonicas, recorders, penny whistles, tabor pipe, ocarina, Lakota flutes, guitar, banjo, ukulele, tiple, mandolin, bouzouki, bass, steel drums, folk harp, hurdy gurdy, and singing saw. Admission is $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and senior citizens, and $1.00 for children.  Seating is limited.  The concert will be followed by a light snack and an acoustic jam session. 2014-2015 Nebraska Tourism Marketing Grant application now available

The Nebraska Tourism Commission has allocated $160,000 of its operating budget for tourism marketing grants in Nebraska. The focus of this grant program is to attract new visitors from outside a 100-mile radius. There are three grant categories: 1) Promotion of an Event, 2) Promotion of a Region, and 3) General Marketing. The minimum grant amount that can be requested is $2,000 and the maximum is $15,000. "Get Spooked in the Valley" Cemetery Scavenger Hunt.  Oct. 12-Nov. 2, 2013.  Hosted by the Scenic Weeping Water Valley Association (www.VisittheValley.org). 

Stop in to any participating Scenic Weeping Water Valley Association member business (see website for list of locations) to pick up a clue sheet and "BooGo" (think 'Bingo') card. Visit local cemeteries and businesses to fill out your card between Oct. 12 and Nov. 2. All completed cards turned in by the Nov. 2 deadline will receive a free "I Got Spooked in the Valley" t-shirt and be entered into a drawing for gift certificates worth up to $200. All businesses and cemeteries are located in the southern part of Cass County.
