Get well wishes to Dean Achen
and Lee Clark
This morning, (Monday) is the coldest it's been since 1996.
And our dedicated Fire Dept. was out in it most of the night,
trying to put out the fire at the Syracuse Methodist Church.
Saying "thank you" just doesn't seem to be enough in this
kind of weather, does it?
Thanks to All-Fund Drive contributors

From Nina Rohlfs: "Books & Brew Club! A new Unadilla area
book club for any who love reading and chatting about it is about
to begin. We will meet at my house on the second Wednesday
of each month, 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., with coffee and snacks, starting
February 12, and you are wilcdome to attend. Our Unadilla librarian,
Peggy Leefers, has some good ideas for reads, and ways to read
them free or at low cost, to help us proceed. Let's have attendees
take turns suggesting books of both fiction and non-fiction for the
group. To get off the ground, I've chosen the first book, one of
historical fiction. The title is "The Kitchen House" by Kathleen Grissom.
It's available in paperback at Barnes & Noble, both new and used at
Amazon.com, and more. So if you'd like to participate, get your
book, read it by February 12, and come on over!"
Some "fun facts": January is National Oatmeal month;
January 8th is National Bubble Bath Day;
and January 23rd is National Pie Day.
Make of it what you will!
