Friday, January 3, the Legion, VFW, and their auxiliaries held their
annual holiday party at the Syracuse Country Club. There were 50+
members and guests, with food catered from Tetens. It was delicious
and tables were decorated with a holiday theme. There was a raffle
of bingo prizes and then Gerald and Ruth Neemann entertained us
with some rousing and patriotic music. These attending from Unadilla
were: Chuck & Bev Bjork, Curtis & Cathy Knake, Ron & Lois Johnson,
Janet Simmons, and Bob & Barb Wilhelm. Thanks to Joyce Gilbert
for making this happen every year.

Dwight Kastens would like to remind Unadilla residents
to move their vehicles off the street when he is
plowing snow. Main street, and exit/enter streets
are done first. Then north/south streets, the first
being past the Community Center. Next the
east/west street, and lastly, the alleys. Thanks in
advance for your help.
With the water contamination in Charleston, be reminded
that of all the earth's water, 97% is salt water found in
oceans and seas. Only 1% of the earth's water is
available for drinking, and 2% of all water is frozen. How
lucky we are here in Nebraska.

its appearance in the vicinity of Unadilla and should be
