veterans day

There were so many fundraisers over the weekend.

The Christian Church creamed chicken dinner was well

attended. The food was great as usual! And it's always

fun to catch up with old friends. Over 25 items were raffled

off, results will be published later.

flag wave

Please remember to fly a flag on 11-11.

Nearly all the 53 cemeteries in Otoe County have

veterans buried there. Many have no relatives left

in the area, so why not consider "adopting" one?

William "Billie" Massie

Our family has done this for

William "Billie" Massie, buried in the Unadilla Cemetery,

who lost his life in WWI who was run over by a train in France.

If that name sounds familiar, he is half the namesake of

Massie-Richards American Legion Post #100 at Syracuse.
