Does anyone know what the heck this is? It grows on the
south side of H Road between the tracks and the bridge.

Are you prepared? September is National Preparedness Month.
All Nebraska families should have disaster kits. Individuals and
families should be prepared to assume a role in natural and man-
made disasters. Plans should include where to meet if a home is
destroyed and include a list of important information, including
medical information, for every family member. Everyone needs
to be prepared to shelter in place for a minimum of three days.
Tornadoes, floods, and fires can happen at any time, so make
your preparations now!

Finally! We have some hummingbirds!

Congratulations to Larry Larson & Gerri Eisenhauer,
who were married recently.
Welcome to new residents, Tom & Rita Compton.

The Unadilla Open is fast approaching! It's Sunday,
September 20 - sign up at The Bar.
The Village reports another major sewer backup on the
south end of "I" Street. Please, be careful what you
flush!
From Donna Crownover: Hello everyone!
My term on the Otoe County Visitors Committee ends 12/31/15. I plan to resign from the committee at that time. I have enjoyed the last six years I have served, but I have other commitments I want to focus on.
Is anyone interested in serving on this committee? They meet the fourth Wednesday of the month at 10:00 am at the Otoe County Courthouse. Meetings typically run one to two hours. It is a four year term.
Please let me know if you or someone you know might be interested and/or have any questions.
