Autumn Arrives Today 9-23-15

Hitzemann BBQ_016_500

Saturday evening, Jenn & Scott Hitzemann and boys opened

up their home to the Boardman clan for a family BBQ. Family

came from Lincoln, Omaha, Unadilla, Aurora, and Pleasant

Dale. The cousins had a terrific time and the food was

wonderful! (Scott, you missed your calling!).

Jim Mary_Vietnam_recognition_500

Mary Hanke and Barb Wilhelm,

 representing the Mary Katherine Goddard

Chapter of the DAR, honored their brother Jim Boardman

for his service during the Vietnam War with a certificate

and other items from the Department of Defense. He

served three tours aboard the submarine USS Barb.

Thank you so much to Donna Bolz for her contribution

of historical items to the Community Center Resource

Room. On another note, we will be gathering new items

to display in the History Room for Veteran's Day. We

are also looking for a mannequin or two to display

uniforms on. The History Rooms are available for

viewing during normal office hours: Monday - Friday,

8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
