Did you know March 19 is "National Quilting Day"? In honor of this,
the Heritage Needlework Guild has donated the book "Paper Piecing
Perfect Points" by Debby Kratovil, to the Unadilla Community Library.
It is a beautifully illustrated book with great detailed instructions. If
interestest in quilting, we have this plus many more quilting books.
Stop in and check them out!
Get well wishes to Dennis Baker and continued wishes
for Bill Davis. Also, a speedy recovery to Pastor Sandy Denton.

Condolences to the Milan Brehm family on the loss of

NEWS FROM 100 YEARS AGO

Friday, 3-17-1916, The Otoe Union:
"The young men here are organizing a tennis club. They surveyed
the ground last Tuesday." (It would be on the Doyle lots near the
Depot.) There was a mass meeting in the Town Hall and a
"Dry Federation" was formed to prevent the sale of alcohol.
Peter Zellers purchased a team of mules from Walter Wilhelm.
A partition was installed in the Botsford building,
separating the creamery from the barber shop.
(Appropriate since the barber shop was called "The Sanitary
Barber!)
