Get well wishes to Joyce Schulze, Kate Lucas,
and Karen Schwartman.

A big thank you to John Moss, who has "refreshed" the
parking space stripes on Main Street and along side the
Bank. Your hard work is appreciated.

The next painting class with Sharon Demaree will be
Saturday, July 30, from 9:30 -11:30 a.m. The class size is
limited to 12 so make your reservations soon with
Sharon at 402-450-3161.
Please watch your mail for the Cross Connection
survey (residents only). It must be filled out and returned
to the Village Office and is required by the State of
Nebraska. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Bob Wilhelm would like to remind everyone to stop by
the Bingo stand in the air conditioned Fair Center during
the County Fair next weekend (July 28 -July 31). The
proceeds help fund local youth programs.
It's always lots of fun!
Did you know that between 1905 and 1914,
vehicle owners made their own license plates out of
leather and then registered them with the
Secretary of State?
I've been "confined to quarters" for too long; this keeps
churning around in my head, probably from all the
senseless killings: "There seems to be a kind of order
in the universe, in the movement of the stars and
the turning of the earth and the changing of the seasons,
and even in the cycle of human life. But human life itself is
almost pure chaos." -Katherine Anne Porter,
Paris Review, 1963.
