The Unadilla Area Fund met Tuesday, October 25, to complete the
mailing for the Unadilla All Fund Drive. Also included with the mailing
is a statement on distribution of our monies since the inception of
the Fund, and includes the projects the money was used for. The
next meeting will be December 6, at the Duncan Building, starting
at 4:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served afterward. Please
join us if you can - come and meet your new neighbors and some
lifelong residents!

Condolences to the family and friends of (Allen) Dwight
Roberts, who passed 10-27. Living near Unadilla his entire
life, he is survived by son Bruce, and daughters Denice &
Diane. He will be buried at Park Hill and will be remembered
fondly.
Also, condolences to the family of Irma Taylor, who passed
10-29. She grew up and attended school at Burr. She was
always supportive of Veterans and was a pretty darn good
cook! Irma is survived by daughters Nancy and Beth.
She will be laid to rest in the Unadilla Cemetery.
Congratulations to Maisie Lynne Hillman who was confirmed
this past Sunday at Luther Memorial, Syracuse, along with 18
others. What a great group of kids! Kids that are going to make
great adults, full of compassion and always ready to do
community service and help others.

The October 29th Barn Quilt Class was a huge success!! Eleven participants created some true works of art. The class was led by instructor Sharon Demaree, with assistance from Peggy Leefers and Char (????). Participants had a choice of 14 different patterns and many different colors. The end product – a 12” by 12” Barn Quilt Hanging – is very eye catching. Some were going to hang their Barn Quilt on sheds or garages or put in with their landscaping, one even planned the colors to match her room. So be on the lookout throughout the town for these colorful creations.
Two more Barn Quilt Classes have been scheduled – one on Saturday morning, November 12th, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. and one on Tuesday evening, November 15th, from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. If interested, please stop into the library during their regular hours (Tuesday morning 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Thursday evening 5:00 to 7:00 pm., and Saturday morning 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.) to register, make payment, and pick out your design and colors. Come join the fun.
