Don't forget to set your clocks ahead
1 hour Saturday night

Humanities Nebraska sent out notices that Seward, June 15-18,
and Nebraska City, June 21-24, will host Chautauqua entitled:
"World War I: Legacies of a Forgotten War". It is a free festival
and includes entertainment, historic presentations, exhibits, youth
camps and more. This year is the 100th anniversary of the United
States' entry into World War I. For a complete schedule of speakers,
events, and a reading list, go to www.NebraskaChautauqua.org
to assist in making your plans.
If you haven't watered your trees all winter, this warm spell
would be a good time to start.

Continued get well wishes to Karen Schwartman, Sharon Demaree,
Rose Marie Brandt, Lois Chadwick, Bruce Hassler,
and Gerry Davis.

A huge thank you to Terry & Pat Scheinost for their donation
of retired grocery carts. Our seniors and library workers
thank you also!

Don't you just love our new walking path? There is someone using
it almost every day. Spring is almost here and so is ball season.
You'll start seeing a lot of activity at the ball park now. The Village
Board has replaced the backstops and are in the process of
repairing and replacing fencing.
The Library says: A big, big thank you to Ron and Maryann
Wenninghoff for creating a DVD of the Unadilla School. It begins
with introductions of the students and teachers, (the
kindergarteners are SO adorable!) and it includes a great
view of the kids playing, as well as both old and new buildings.
The DVD shows 8th grade graduation from 1991 - and more.
It also shows the demolition of the old school. Wonderful
history of Unadilla. These DVDs are for sale by the Unadilla
Community Library - just $5.00 each. Stop in the Library
during regular hours (check our calendar on the right side
of this page) to purchase. And be sure to thank the Wenninghoff
family for this wonderful gift from the past.
