
American Legion Post #100 held its annual Continuous
Membership Banquet, Friday, March 31, at the Syracuse Country
Club. After a delicious meal catered by Melody Teten, awards were
given out. Presiding over the Auxiliary were Lois Johnson, President,
and Bev Wilhelm, Secretary.

Barb Witt
Women receiving awards were Barb Witt, 40 years, Sharon
Stalder, 45 years, and Marie Annette Minderman, 50 years.
Not able to be present: Dixie Formanack, Leola Janssen, Karen
Price, Joni Peterson, and Judy Schwab, all 40 years; Linda Davis,
Sue Erhart, Diane Bechtold, Mary Farley, and Lucille Eads, all
45 years.
Awards to the men were given out by Ed Reed, Post Commander,
and Bob Wilhelm, Post Adjutant.

Nisely, Pat Nisely, Larry Beers, Dennis Gotschall, Melvin

Martin Schwab, and Henry Wellensiek, all 40 years; Larry Erhart,
Billy Haeffner, Duane Janssen, Harold Post, Donald Rosenthal,
and Dennis Wendeln, all 45 years; Donald Hopp, Ralph Ross, and
Gary Witt, all 50 years.
Ervin Panko was the winner of the drawing for a free round of
golf, donated by the country club. Thanks Randy!
Thank you to the American Legion Auxiliary and Lois Johnson
for their donations to the Unadilla Veterans Room, It is truly an
honor to display these items.

to west from Merriman to Chadron. Do you know what towns are
serviced by the OL&B Railway? Omaha, Lincoln and Beatrice.

Guess who got surprised after church with a cake for her
93rd birthday? Berdean West!

The Unadilla Men's Fast Pitch Team will sponsor a fundraiser at
Grandpa's Woods on April 30th. The fee is $35 a person which
includes a cart. It's a four personscramble, teams assigned by
the organizers, 9 holes of golf with the tee off time at 1:00 p.m.,
shotgun start. Sign up sheet for entries is at The Bar.

1. Approval for The Bar’s SDL for the Blue Bird Convention
2. Future Tech to speak to the Board on Internet Service
Except for items of an emergency nature, the agenda shall not be enlarged later than twenty-four hours before the scheduled commencement of the meeting. Any persons needing special accommodations should contact the Village Office at least five days prior to the meeting date.

Friday, 4-6-1917, The Otoe Union:
"E.S. Carper reports the oiling of 165 sets of harness this
spring." Dr. E.C. Williams returned his practice to Unadilla for
the third time. His office was located in the house east of the
Bank (now Lemka Recycling). Fern Luff, daughter to Thomas
Luff, married John Wall, April 4th, at the home of her parents.
Her bridesmaid was Dessie Luff and the best man was
Jasel Wall.
