NEWS FROM 100 YEARS AGO

Friday, 5-25-1917, The Otoe Union:
"A card received from Elmer Graham stated that they were to go
to Douglas, Arizona, and then into training camps somewhere
along the border." Henrietta Mohler died and was buried in the
Unadilla Cemetery. She was the wife of Benjamin Mohler and the
grandmother of Peter A. Zellers, Jr. "Mrs. C. Besch sold the walnut
trees on her place west of Hopewell church to be made up in gun
stocks and there is a gang of men cutting them down and
getting them ready to ship out."
