Bob Wilhelm would like to remind everyone to stop by the
Bingo stand in the air conditioned Fair Center during the
County Fair next week (July 27-30). The proceeds help fund
local youth programs. And it's always lots of fun! They recently
purchased an additional batting cage for the Sports
Complex in Syracuse.
Did you know that between 1905 and 1914, vehicle owners
made their own license plates out of leather and then
registered them with the Secretary of State?

The Veterans Parade and the Fair Parade will be
combined this year - line up at 4:00 p.m.,
parade starts at 5:00.

This heat could take a break any time. Anybody else's
electricity blink off and on most of Sunday afternoon?
It finally went off completely for about 5 minutes and then
30 minutes were spent resetting everything digital!

Worked for Corinne at the Village Office yesterday and
met the most delightful couple. They were visiting from
Unadilla, New York! They loved our display rooms and the
more we talked the more we found out those folks had a lot in
common with us - small town surrounded by farmland, no
school, not much business, and 6 miles from a town
named Syracuse!
