Bob Wilhelm and his bingo minions would like to thank everyone

who patronized the Bingo stand at the Otoe County Fair.

Proceeds go to local youth programs. Bingo is sponsored by

the local Legion, VFW and SAL organizations.

Condolences to the family and friends of

Ray "Pete" Fisk, who passed July 31st.

Just a reminder: please do not let the grass from mowing 

your lawn get thrown into the street; it clogs up our storm

drains. Thank you!

Belated birthday wishes to Tristan Lindsey,

who celebrated July 28th.

A huge thank you to George & Karan Hanssen, who

organized the effort for the Class of 1967 float in the Otoe

County Fair parade. Riders: Ken Aden, Randy & Rheeta

Baker, Fred & Phyllis Berner, Bob Brandt, Gary Eisenhauer,

Bill Formanack, George & Karan Hanssen, Dean Henke &

Jodi Spicer, Duane Hopp and Jim Pope. Thanks to Bob 

Brandt for providing the pencils and candy. And to the

grandkids who made the signs and Jerrod Henke who

drove the truck. Thank goodness they had "beverages" to

help cool them down!

The Unadilla Methodist Church will be holding their

annual Ice Cream Social on August 20th from

11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Unadilla, Nebraska, will meet in a publicly convened session on Wednesday, August 09, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Library, 770 G Street, Unadilla, Nebraska. The agenda of subjects to be considered at said meeting is kept continuously current and available for public inspection at the Village Office.

 

1. Budget Workshop

 

Except for items of an emergency nature, the agenda shall not be enlarged later than twenty-four hours before the scheduled commencement of the meeting. Any persons needing special accommodations should contact the Village Office at least five days prior to the meeting date.

Friday, 8-3-2017, The Otoe Union:

104 men were notified to report to Nebraska City

for physicals given by the Draft Board. "NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC. Commencing August 6, I am going to

inforce the speed law of Unadilla which is ten miles

per hour within the city limits. City Marshall."

Leo Ellsworth Jacobson and Leta McNair were married

and would make their home near Chappel, NE. Tom

Lucas purchased the Gerstenkorn farm 3 miles
