A huge thank you to Logan Jording,
who worked 5 hours at the Unadilla Park and helped do
maintenance on our Heritage Tree. Way to go!

Brady Rohlfs, son of Arlin and Nina Jean Rohlfs, and
Band Director at Waverly High School, has been awarded
the Golden Apple Teaching Excellence Award by KOLN
10/11 TV. Representatives of the TV station arrived at the
school on Tuesday, October 24, to surprise him and his
senior high band with the award presentation. There are
610 intrumental music students in Waverly's Class A
Bands. What an honor!
Thank you to the family of Harvey Stoner for donating
a charming quilt probably made by Sadie West. It is displayed
in the History Room.

And to Cheryl & Ted Leefers, who
donated the gorgeous poppy quilt (made by Imo Berner)
that is displayed in the Veterans Room. It is so appropriate
due to the fact that we are celebrating WWI and the poppy
is the remembrance symbol for those who served in that war.

Looking for a fun evening of creativity? Come to our
"Owl" gourd bird feeder painting class on Wednesday,
November 8, at the Unadilla Community Center. All supplies
are furnished as well as refreshments. Instructor: Sharon
Demaree, cost $25. All proceeds benefit the Unadilla
Library. Questions? Call Sharon: 402-450-3161;
Peggy: 402-828-5725; or Sue: 402-269-5748.
The Unadilla Area Fund met Thursday, October 26, to
complete the mailing for the Unadilla All Fund Drive. Also
included with the mailing is a statement on distribution of
our monies since the inception of the Fund, and includes
the projects the money was used for. The next meeting will
be December 5, at the Duncan Building, starting with a
meeting at 4:30 p.m. and reception at 5:00. Light refreshments
will be served afterwards. Please join us if you can - come
and meet your new neighbors and some lifelong residents!

Mark your calendars now for the Veterans Coffee on
November 11 from 9 - 11 a.m. in the Veterans Room.
Coffee, tea, cookies, and good conversation! Take a look
at the additions to our display.
