Mary Hanke, Jenn Hitzemann, and myself travelled to the
town of Hamilton, MO, Saturday, to visit the Missouri Star
Quilt shops. There are now 14 of them. What an experience!
So many ideas, colors, and beautiful displays. Great
marketing idea: they turned one shop into a "Man Cave",
it was full of comfy recliners and big screen TVs. The shops
were being featured by an independent film crew. We ate at
a little shop run by the Boy Scouts, great burgers and fries.
None of the boys could have been over 14, but they were
"all business". Of course there are many other points of
interest in the area, but I can cross this off my bucket list!

Had a great turnout at the Christian Church Creamed
Chicken Dinner, no numbers yet. Remember the Methodist
Church's Lord's Acre Day is coming right up also.

Mary Brandt and Beulah Stilwell went to Camp Funston,
Kansas, to visit George Brandt. Ivan Rodaway was having
a new windmill put up at his farm north of Unadilla.
