We had a most enjoyable Father's Day at the Wester Wilhelm

Outpost, with all the grandkids and kids sharing a meal and lots

of laughs. There's nothing better or more precious than family.

Kids at the Christian church Sunday made frames for all the guys that

were dads or had dad. Each frame artistically incorporated a reflection

of the recipients life. From l to r: Bob Brandt, Roland Rodaway,

Dennis Baker, Jim Neemann, Dean Luff, Marvin Lucas and

Bob Wilhelm. Thanks Kayla and Jacob Greipenstroh for all

your hard work!

We were delighted to help researchers from Colorado and New

Mexico this week in the Resource Room. So many folks

have ties to Otoe County. It's amazing!

Friday, 6-21-1918, The Otoe Union:

Ruth Brandt was elected principal of the Unadilla school for

1918-1919. Ethel Belle Pound, Douglas, and Chester Clyde

Mayes, Unadilla, were married in Lincoln. They would live on

a farm 1 mile south of the Hopewell Church. "Holly Luff has the

best mile of dragged road in Otoe County."
