The Otoe County Genealogical Society met Saturday,
November 17, in the Resource Room. The By-Laws were
revised and approved, plans were made for the new
members books, and a program schedule was discussed.
Louise Vedder was elected the new Treasurer upon Linda
Parde's retirement. Members contributed to the brunch,
which was delightful, and there was lots of discussion
of the new year. The next meeting will be in February,
in the Resource Room.
Wow - hat's off to the Huskers, first for playing in such
miserable weather, and second for winning!
Despite the weather, a great crowd attended the Cream
Chicken dinner Sunday at the Methodist Church. The food
was great and so was catching up with old friends. Lord's
Acre was held afterwards.

Friday, 11-22-1918, The Otoe Union:
Two gold fish and a glass fish globe absolutely free with a
50 cent purchase! R.A. Lincoln, The Rexall Store."
The first issue of "The Union" was published 11-7-1896
by F. L. Palmer. Alice P. Judkins, wife of Leonard H.,
died and was buried in the Unadilla Cemetery. Leo Clyde
Palmer, son of F.L., died at Selma, CA, and was buried
in the Odd Fellows Cemetery there.
