From George E. Brandt, near Toule, France: "The 11th hour,
the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. Firing has ceased on
both sides and the "kid" is O.K. and feeling fine. It sure seems
queer tonight. It is so quiet."
Friday, 1-3-1919, The Otoe Union:
"The big rabbit hunt was pulled off on New Year's day.
The total number killed was 367. A good time was had by all
and no accidents. Edd Stanley and John Stilwell were captains."
