Over two years now, we are still battling this darn Covid. If you're still feeling uncomfortable in crowds, our wonderful park and walking path is a great place to unwind! The fresh air will lift your mood and it's easy to keep your distance from others. Everything is turning green and pushing up new growth. Ballgames will be starting soon! The memorial trees at the park and around town are looking good. Such lovely additions we will be able to see for years to come. Thanks again Burton Brandt!

The Easter Egg Tree in the Unadilla Park/Unadilla Area Arboretum, was chosen as a Nebraska Heritage Tree in 2007. This is also part of the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum. It's a great backdrop for photos and a great place to climb if you're a kid!
You may have already received a letter from the Village Office informing you that Papillion Sanitation has raised their rates effective April 1st. Seniors (65 & over) will be $14.00/month, and those under 65 will be $19.90/month.

So sad to report the passing of former resident, Betty (Kuenning) Wallen, at Independence, MO, on March 24th. Betty attended Mt. Zion School, District #65, north of town, and graduated from Unadilla High School. She married Glen Wallen and they had 4 daughters: Shirley, Lois, Gloria, and Jolene. She was a great neighbor! And she will be remembered fondly.
Attention Syracuse High School Class of 1967:
We will be an honored class this year. If your address has changed since the last one, please notify me or Bob Brandt, so we can update the records. Sadly, we have now lost 10 of our class members.
As far as we know there aren't any empty houses in town; one is in the process of being built, and at least two more are on the drawing board. When you drive through Main Street in the evening, parking spots are few and far between...don't you just love it?

Several members of the Unadilla Volunteer Fire and Rescue participated in Grain Bin Rescue with Awareness Rope Training at the Syracuse Fire Training Grounds. Sponsored by the Otoe County Mutual Aid Association.

Get well wishes to those under the weather, taking treatments, recuperating, or in the hospital. It's gotta get better soon!

Mark your calendars now! The Food Bank will be at the park next Wednesday, April 6, from 10 - 11 a.m.
