Last Tuesday night was one we won't soon forget! From the US National Weather Service: "An EF1 tornado was confirmed via a storm damage survey in Unadilla, NE, where damage to trees and a few homes was noted. The tornado had a path length of 0.1 miles and a path width of 40 yards with a maximum estimated wind speed of 100 mph." Of all the history I've researched and all the old newspapers I've read, there never has been a reported tornado in Unadilla. We should also note here that Unadilla was never included in any tornado warnings. After surveying the damage in town we drove east on new Hwy #2 and saw insulation from the Isaacs house into the third mile. Wilhelm Family Farms also had some damage as did the Steinkuhler's.

Congratulations to Molly Aernie and Andyn Luff, who were baptized in a lovely ceremony at the Christian Church on Easter morning. Wishing you both only the best!

Correction: It has been decided there WILL be dinner at the gym on Memorial Day.
The Syracuse Class of 1967 will meet approximately 2 hours before and after the Alumni Banquet, Sunday, May 29, 2002, at the Syracuse Country Club. Banquet tickets are $25.

Reminder: the area fenced around the Community Center's first purpose is for the enjoyment of children. You are more than welcome to bring your dog into it, just make sure you close the gate if you are going to take the leash off. And here's the major reason for the reminder: please refer to the first sentence and pick up the poop! We all share this wonderful facility, so let's keep it that way. Thank you!
Do you know where this tree is? It's inside the city limits of Unadilla.
