Well, reports around here from 8 - 12 inches of snow in the last week. Haven't seen this amount of snow in quite awhile. The roads aren't great, but we can make it to town!
Don't forget Groundhog Day is coming right up! Shirts for sale at Nitty Gritty. Please vote for King and Queen candidates at Mal's or Nitty Gritty.

NEWS FROM 100 YEARS AGO
Friday, 1-18-1924, The Otoe Union:
The thermometer registered -7 at 7 a.m., with a NW wind, which covered both railroad tracks and roads with snow drifts. The roads had just become passable from the previous storm. (sound familiar?) Henry Miller was clerking in Hair's Store. Residents were making good use of the cold weather by filling their ice houses. Thomas Rodaway was busy repairing the telephone lines. "It takes 63 muscles of the face to make a frown and 12 muscles to make a smile. What is the use of working overtime?"
