FOOD BANK THIS FRIDAY - 2 - 3 p.m. at the Park
All are welcome!

Hope you all had a great Easter celebration. Michele Wilhelm and family hosted everyone this year. We talked about recipes, growing up, babies, pets, and the list goes on. The food was excellent and the conversations were many! And everyone, young or old, got to hunt for eggs. It was a wonderful day!

The Unadilla ballfield is ready for players! We are SO ready for summer!
Are you prepared for the eclipse next Monday? It is supposed to be a partial here in Nebraska, but you should still wear your special glasses. Your Unadilla Community Library is giving away “eclipse glasses”. Pick up your pair at the library (Hours: Thursday 3-5; Saturday 9-11); also at the Village Office, Mal’s Bar & Grill, or Nitty Gritty. Enjoy & be safe!

Go to OutdoorNebraska.org for Hunting and Trapping Seasons for Big and Small Game, Furbearer and Waterfowl. They also have information on how to get a fishing license.

CORRECTION TO THE MARCH MADNESS MEMORIES ARTICLE
By Renowned and Humbled Cub Reporter Bob Wilhelm
Mea Culpa! Boy was I wrong! It has been pointed out by the review committee at the prestigious Paisley Bottom Coffee Shop and Critical Thinking Laboratory, that there were several inaccuracies in last week's March Madness piece. Enough errors that my Cub Reporter status is in jeopardy. So, let us begin. I reported that Gary Thomson and Bill Weatherhogg were the coaches, when in fact, they were players on the Palmyra team coached by Bernard Davis. I reported that Palmyra lost to Pleasanton in the first round, when in fact, the Panthers were victorious with a score of 56-42. (I am doubly remorseful about my snarky "one and done" comment.) Uehling defeated Palmyra in the third game, but not until after "Palmyra regained the lead at 16-15, with John Stilwell's long heave, but quickly lost it when Clough sank a high archer." Copes, with 13 baskets in the semi-finals, helped Palmyra set a new tournament scoring record. Stilwell recorded 11 tournament points. Sources for this correction were from both the Nebraska City News Press, 3/19/1952 edition and the Syracuse Journal Democrat 3/21/1952 edition.

Our sympathy and condolences to Mark Czapla on the passing of his mother.
