Friday, June 21, was 153 years since our little village was platted and "officially" recognized. Although we've had bigger celebrations, this year was a fun one! It started out with the dedication of the Lending Library on Main Street. Thank you to the Brandt family for honoring Rose Marie in this way.

There were some awesome garage sales, especially the one at the Fire House. And, they served lunch!!! Thank you!
The water slide is always a big hit with the kids!

The horseshoe tournament is always a lot of fun. This year's winners were 1st place: Galen Crawford & Todd Zahn, 2nd place: Mike Weyers & Christian Fredrick, and 3rd place (for the second year in a row): Michele Wilhelm & Darci Carlson.
And of course, things wrapped up with the Duck Race. Rubber ducks were released under the west bridge and the first one to reach the south bridge is the winner. (It was reported that it took right at an hour for the ducks to reach the south bridge.) Congratulations to the winning duck owner,Tom Hruby!
Even though it was HOT and humid, it was a great day and thanks to all who helped or participated. See you next year!
Sincere condolences to the family of Susie (Frye) Wyatt who passed away on June 23rd. She was a sweet and charming lady, who lived in the Unadilla area for most of her life. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Glen in the Unadilla Cemetery.
REMEMBER: With the July 4th holiday part of a long weekend, The Lincoln Food Bank will deliver on Monday, July 8th.
Great photos above by Bob Wilhelm. Here's another one! Road going west of town.
