At the meeting on 10-14, the Village Board decided to have
the USDA do a survey of our median household income, in hopes
of getting more funding the next time a grant is applied for. The
USDA will have the company Midwest Assistance do the actual
survey. There will be no charge to the Village or the residents.
The Village or USDA will not receive any names, social security
numbers, addresses, or any other information asked for on the
survey, so your privacy is protected. If you have any questions or
need to verify Midwest Assistance requests, please call the
Village Office at 402-828-5355.

Congratulations to Sheena Kastens, daughter of Dwight & Julie
Kastens, and Trevor Snyder, who were married in the Unadilla
Park Saturday. Wishing them a long and happy married
life together.
The Bike/Walk path is completed. Bob & I took a stroll around
it Sunday after church and it is beautifully done.

The park benches, lights, and trash cans will be added in the
near future, as well as landscaping.

It is a good addition to our lovely park. So now the covered
park shelter and both sets of restrooms are connected bgy a
cement walk - no more hopping around in the mud. Hope
to see you "on the trail?" Thanks to the Unadilla Area Fund
and the Village for completing this wonderful project.
Did you know that $1 out of every $10 we spend
on food pays for the packaging?

Five members of the Otoe County Gerealogical Society
met Saturday morning. Sorting and filing of the Mary Beth
Kearns collection is not quite finished but will be soon. The
Rural Schools Conference we are sponsoring with Peru
State College was also discussed. More details can be
found on their web and Facebook pages. The date for the
November meeting has yet to be set but election of officers
will take place then.

Does anyone have a mannequin to lend or donate? It would be
used for displays in the Veteran's Room at the Community
Center. Also, if you haven't brought in a photo of your veteran,
please do so we can add it to our memorial wall. And don't
forget the Parade of Veterans sponsored by the Legion Auxiliary
at the Fair Center in a few weeks. Honor your veteran!
