morning, 10-19, at the Community Library. Each member read

a Nora Roberts book and then gave a short review. Everyone

also brought treats so it was a real feast! The next meeting will

be Tuesday, November 17, at 10 a.m. The author of choice is

Kristen Hannah. Gera Stilwell will be the hostess.

Please join us if you can!

Library news from Sue: Two new books arrived at the library

this week. "Rogue Lawyer" by John Grisham: story of

Sebastian Rudd, who takes the cases no one else will. He

works out of a customized bulletproof van. Rudd has no firm,

no partners, no associates - just one employee who is his

driver, bodyguard, law clerk, and only friend. He believes

everyone deserves a fair trial and he fights to ensure they

get it. "See Me" by Nicholas Sparks, is a suspensful love

story between two flawed characters with traumatic pasts.

Maria and Colin must fight their demons in order to make a

future together. Stop in and check these new addition out.

Hours: Thursdays 5-7 p.m. & Saturdays 9-11 a.m.

Thank you to Judy Stoner Pope for her

generous donation to the Unadilla Cemetery.

Remember our_Veterans

Please join us for coffee and cookies in the Veteran's Room

at the Community Center from 9-11 a.m. on Veteran's Day,

November 11. If you have a photo of your veteran you would

like to add to our wall, please let me know and I will make a

poster for them. We are also collecting veteran's stories from

their time in service; we would love to share yours!

Indian Cave_2015_035_500

Wasn't it a beautiful weekend? We visited the campers at

Indian Cave State Park on Saturday afternoon. The Capps

Indian Cave_2015_058_CROPPED_500

made their own graveyard and there was a well dressed

skelton guarding their bowl of "treats". The real fun started

when the sun went down,

Indian Cave_2015_069_cropped_500

Indian Cave_2015_054_cropped_500

all sorts of characters started roaming around, and spooky

sounds were heard everywhere. We left before the haunted

hayrack ride, which by all accounts made one grown man

scream like a little girl. What fun!

Some of you may remember Inez Hahne's parents. Her

mother Effie, moved to St. Deroin (remnants of this settlement

remain) in her teenage years, and her father James, did a lot of

good work in promoting both St. Deroin, which is contained inside

the boundaries of Indian Cave State Park, and the park itself.

Congratulations to Lynn Schomerus

on his "hole in one"!
