The Unadilla Community Center History Rooms will receive 20% of Schwan sales from November 9th until Christmas in a fundraiser approved this week. When ordering online there is a box to check to participate in a fundraiser and then specify Unadilla Community Center History Rooms. It is now in the system and should come up when box checked and scroll down to check the fundraiser you want to support. This is a wonderful opportunity for the community and area to help with more funding for those rooms to promote the history of the area. Tell your friends and family and pass the word to even those out of the area, they can also specify this promotion. Thank You to all who will help in this promotion.
The Unadilla Area Fund met Tuesday, October 27, to complete
the mailing for the Unadilla All Fund Drive, with 7 members present.
Also included in the mailing is a statement of
distribution of our funds since the inception of the Fund, and
includes the projects the money was used for. The next meeting
will be December 8, at the Duncan Building, starting with a
meeting at 4:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served afterward.
Please join us if you can!

The Christian Church dinner was well attended this past
Sunday. Everyone comes for the food but it's always fun to
catch up with old friends and neighbors.

Condolences to the Maureen & Harvey Vogt family on the
loss of Maureen's mother, Ruth Zeorian, who passed
away on 11-2-2015. A family service will be held at
a later date.

Please remember to fly a flag on 11-11. Nearly all the 53
cemeteries in Otoe County have veterans buried there. Many have
no relatives left in the area, so why not consider "adopting" one?
Our family has done this for William "Billie" Massie, buried in the
Unadilla Cemetery, who was killed in WWI. If that name sounds
familiar, he is half the namesake of Massie-Richards American
Legion Post #100 in Syracuse.

Post #100 Orginal Charter dated 10-31-1919
Get well wishes to Phil Willnerd.

Please join us for coffee and cookies on Wednesday morning,
November 11, in the Veteran's Room at the Community Center.
The History Room will also be open.
